Soft Serve Success

The regular soft serve instructions are to add 1/2 cup of crushed ice and 1/4 cup water to the powder then blend. I do think my little blender I bought at Target is weak, but this recipe just doesn't work for me.

First of all, I want a bigger serving without any extra calories. Who's with me? Here's how I do soft serve.

First I use my Hamilton Beach food processor to crush up a dozen or so ice cubes into snow. (You don't really have to wash it afterwards because it's just ice! I always think of the dishes, I'm a mom.) Then I put in my personal-size blender 1/2 cup water and the soft serve powder. I give it a couple of good pulses to mix that up. Then I start adding the ice/snow, one quarter cup at a time, and I probably use a cup or so of snowy ice all together. This gives me a big, delicious ice cream shake.

I have tried mango, coffee, peanut butter, and chocolate mint soft serves. They are all wonderful, except mango. Mango in my humble opinion should be taken out into the street and murdered.

Happy eating!
